mp3DirectCut performs non-destructive editing operations, more precisely can remove portions of your MPEG files, copy and paste selections to new files, split audio tracks and moreover, records MP3s from your input devices.

The editing can be done without decompressing the files, which means there is no quality loss through re-compressions.

You can make multiple cuts using the mouse selection method to define the audio segments or the navigation boxes, create simple fades, adjust the volume and normalize the audio levels.

The program offers support for cue sheets, auto cue, batch processing, ID3 tags, bit rate viewing and more.
