PeaZip is not just a small utility to create or open archives. This program includes dozens of options and easily can be used as default file compression because has an incredible amount of options that you may need while working with your files.
The program has a very friendly and well organized interface, although it has many features, is very easy to use by anyone.
Create archives Add folders or files and then tweak settings through a tabbed interface. You can sort files added by column names and easily remove desired ones pressing Delete. Select archive format (7z, ZIP, TAR, Pea, GZip and more) or choose to split archive into multiple files based on a maximum size limit. Protect archive with a password or even with a keyfile. Choose different compression levels and methods or even set it to run on a schedule - useful for automated tasks.
Extract archives PeaZip is available as standalone interface and as right click context menu to open archives with a single click. Is able to open many file formats, including popular ZIP, RAR, 7Z. It supports dozens of formats.
Additional tools The program has options for all tastes and each time you use it, you discover more. Includes a file renamer, file duplicate finder, secure delete, shortcuts to default Windows features such as Control Panel and more.
