This incredible small utility allows to view in real time recent news and updates for your favorite channels. FeedRoller can be used in the same time with other applications, because can be pinned on the top of the screen and you will stay permanently connected with latest news.
The program is highly customizable and will not disturb you. At mouse hover, the ticker disappears and you can access the icons or programs behind it. Also, you can configure it to stay hidden when you use full screen applications such as games.
FeedRoller will open automatically in browser the web page corresponding to the article from the ticker if you double click on its icon from System Tray. In the same location, if you right click on FeedRoller's icon, you can access other options.
First time I thought that doesn't have too many features because it has a very small size, but at Options you will find different and useful settings organized by category. You can ignore news older then a certain time (hours), set padding and margins for ticker's interface, customize layout, change animation settings (slide in/out, scroll speed), set custom percent of transparency, customize font type and size, change colors, set hotkeys to access different features or to perform actions with a single press on keyboard and more.
With one click you can reset all settings to default, so you can play a little with options at the beginning to explore all thing that it can do.
