FastStone Image Viewer is a multifunctional software, mainly is an image viewer, but also can perform basic editing such as adding filters or effects and image processing.

Image viewer
Open a folder with images and view them as thumbnails. With double click you can make image full screen and pressing Esc key will cancel full screen; pretty simple to use, as it should be. Selecting 2 or more pictures allows to view them as slideshow; the slideshow can be configured to a desired value of seconds between slides, random order, loop, add sound file and much more. Is also able to save the slideshow as .exe file, so you can group multiple images and save them as a single .exe file, then play it or send it to other people. Selected image can be rotated or set as wallpaper.

Image screen capture
I was surprised to find this feature. Through file menu, you can choose what type of capture do you want to make: foreground window, active window or object, fullscreen, rectangle region or freehand region. Once captured, snapshot can be saved as file, copied to clipboard or open in FastStone Image Viewer.

Image editor
Perform different editing actions, such as add shapes, text, apply effects and transformations, crop and more. Each change or editing action can be previewed.

Image processing
Batch convert and rename an array of photos and choose desired file format and a pattern for naming. It supports search and replace.

Interface supports different skins.
